In a LivingWorks safeTALK workshop you will learn to be a “Connector”.
What will you learn?
Recognise when someone might be having thoughts of suicide
Ask the person about suicide and know what to do if they say “yes”
Provide the person with a “warm handover” to connect them to further help (e.g., connect them to an ASIST caregiver)
How much does it cost? No cost to participants as this service is supported by funding from the Australian Government through the Brisbane South Primary Health Network (BSPHN) Program.
Who can come? If you are a part of the veterinary community and work, reside or benefit the Brisbane and surrounding areas, then come along!
